Boracay Trip – June 2007

It was our first time in Boracay actually. And guess what, it was our honeymoon. And since it was our first time travelling down south, we made sure that we will not be lost – we’ve brought some company, hehe. Below are the details of our itinerary.

Date duration:
June 24-26, 2007

Cebu Pacific via Kalibo Airport

How many people:
5 (with 2 friends and Nanay) – of course hiwalay kami ng kwarto

Forgot the name but it was in Station 1 arranged by a contact referred to us by a friend. We got 2 rooms of course – nakahiwalay kami sa kanila.

P2,000 /person

Van(from Kalibo to Caticlan):
P1,200/van – can accommodate  up to 10 people Toyota Grandia. This will require you 1 1/2 to 2 hours travel time so make sure you take note of that if you opt to get a Kalibo fare.

Ferry + environmental fee + Tricycle to Hotel (from Caticlan to Boracay):  I think that’s P50 (environmental fee), P75 (ferry) and P50 tricycle.

P500/room/day.  We paid a total of P3,000 for 2 rooms for 3days, 2Nights Stay. The rooms are not on the beachfront, most like 2nd in line. Not bad since you don’t plan to stay in the room for the whole duration of your vacation.

Island hopping:
P1,500 small banca (with snorkeling). It will take you first to Island Cove (you need to pay P200/pax for entrance). Basically it’s more of picture taking inside the cave etc. After that was the snorkeling near the crocodile island (looks like crocodile, that is. By lunch time, we were at the Puca Beach. May mga kubo kubo na pwede ka magpaluto. Around 1pm, we’re back to long beach already.

There are a lot of places where you can eat. There’s even Andoks Litson Manok. During dinner, there’s eat-all-you-can as low as P295/person. Mayron ding Pier One or was it Gilligans, I forgot na.

I’d say that the best thing we did was contact a Tourist Coordinator. Si manong na lahat ang nag coordinate from the van, ferry, tricycle and island hopping. Pati pabalik, susunduin nya kayo sa hotel. So makakatipid talaga unlike if you opt to get the hotel transfers etc.

In case you’d like to get in touch with the tourist coordinator who helped us, contact

Willy Provido at +63 929 509 7869 or
email –

just tell him you were referred by Garry. Bigyan nyo na lang ng tip since almost at cost talaga ung sisingilin nya sa mga transfers. We’re truly satisfied with his help so next time we’ll go there, for sure contact ulet namin siya.
