What’s the most popular Summer destination in the Philippines? Say Hi to Boracay! I spent 3D/2N vacation there with my loved ones to splash ourselves in the beach and the white sand.
Date of visit:
April 22-24, 2012
Hotel Accommodation:
La Carmela de Boracay
Airline:
Zest Air via Kalibo Airport
Day 1: Summer Laughs
We availed online vouchers that offer a hotel accommodation with free breakfast and an airfare for 3D/2N with a promo price. We grabbed it since it’s a good pay for a visit in a Peak season and less hassle for us.
The bad thing was we got an afternoon flight going Kalibo and a morning flight going back to Manila. So it’s like we’ll be staying for 2 days all in all. Nevertheless, that made our days in Boracay well spent.
After an hour flight to Kalibo, we hired a van and took us 1.5 hours to Caticlan where we paid for fees and rode a pump boat. Then, we rode a tricycle and finally, we landed in the White Beach.
Every second counts. After we checked in the hotel, we swam in the beach right away! I was in awe when I saw the sunset! The Philippines is really beautiful!
And hey, we bought souvenirs in our first day, what can you say? ;p
Day 2: First Time Fun
I got sick after this day, why? Take a look.
Yes, the day is filled with exciting activities and unforgettable memories. It’s my first time to ride a banana boat, to try helmet diving/reef walking and to snorkeling!
We also did Island hopping to visit the some remarkable Islands.
Day 3: Happy and Craving for more
Our last day is mostly preparing our stuff since we have a morning flight. I am happy I spent my Boracay trip with my family and I certainly will go back in this gorgeous beach.
Expenses:
Airfare + Hotel Accommodation with free breakfasts – 5,500php/pax
Van from Kalibo to Caticlan and vice versa = 1500php x 2 – 3000php/van (good for 8 pax)
Pump Boat + Environmental Fee + Terminal Fee in Jetty Port – 25 + 75 + 50 = 150php/pax
Tricycle to/from White Beach – 100php x 2 = 200php (good for 4 pax)
Banana Boat Ride – 200php/pax
Helmet Diving (with CD of pictures and video) – 500php/pax
Island Hopping – 1,500php/boat (good for 8 pax)
Snorkeling Gear – 25php
Food – 200php/pax per day x 3 = 600php/pax (estimate amount for lunch and dinner since breakfast is free)

Haaay Boracay, this is a goal I have been trying to fulfill. If only it doesn’t suck to visit the place ALONE.
@ Jenny, I love how detailed the post. and indeed it’s not Bora, it’s BORACAY.
I think the “conyo” people are murdering a lot of words. (My lame attempt) it’s like nakaka. You know. Euhw! hahaha
